Proxy provider alternatives
This is the ProxyOnly comparison hub: 50 proxy and scraping providers, each with a fair, fact-based page that explains how its model differs from ours. We show our own live numbers, describe the other provider only in terms of its category, and never claim to be cheaper without evidence.
ProxyOnly rents datacenter, ISP and mobile proxies by country and sells residential proxies by traffic, from a balance that starts at one US dollar. If you need a scraping API or a very large rotating pool, the pages say so plainly and point you to the kind of provider that fits.

How to compare any two proxy providers
Price lists are easy to compare and tell you the least. These questions give a better picture, and you can answer all of them with a small trial.
Cost per successful request. Price per IP or per gigabyte only matters in relation to how many of your requests succeed. Run the same 500 requests through each provider and divide the cost by the number of successful ones.
Block rate on your own targets. A provider that works well on one site can fail on another. Test the sites you actually care about, not a generic benchmark.
Location accuracy. Check the exit country with two lookup tools and compare it with what you ordered. A wrong country is a bigger problem than a slow connection.
Billing model fit. Per-gigabyte billing suits light, bursty traffic. Per-IP billing suits steady, heavy traffic. Estimate your monthly traffic before you decide.
Rental flexibility. Short rental periods reduce the cost of a wrong choice. Check the shortest period, whether you can add IPs later and what happens at renewal.
Support and documentation. Send a real question to support before you buy and see how long the answer takes and how useful it is.
Exit and refund terms. Read the refund and cancellation policy. Never prepay a long period for a provider you have not tested.
Which proxy type fits any country
Pick the proxy type from the job rather than the price. Here is how the types we sell compare, so you can match one to your work in any country:
Datacenter IPv4. The default choice for most jobs. These are dedicated IPv4 addresses hosted in a datacenter, fast and inexpensive, and the best fit for high-volume reading of public pages, monitoring and automation. Some websites treat datacenter ranges more cautiously than consumer connections, so test your target before you commit to a long rental.
ISP proxies. Static addresses that are registered to an internet service provider rather than a hosting company. They keep the speed of datacenter hardware and look more like an ordinary home or office connection, which helps with destinations that are strict about hosting ranges.
Shared IPv4. A shared address is used by more than one customer and costs less. It suits light tasks, quick checks and testing where a clean, exclusive address is not essential.
IPv6. IPv6 addresses are very cheap and plentiful, and they work well with destinations that serve IPv6 traffic, such as many large search, video and social platforms. Many smaller sites are still IPv4 only, so check that your target supports IPv6 before you buy.
Mobile proxies. Addresses from mobile carrier networks. Many phones share the same carrier address, so websites tend to be tolerant of this traffic, which makes mobile proxies the right choice for testing mobile ads, apps and landing pages. They cost more than datacenter addresses.
Residential proxies. Addresses from home internet connections, billed by the amount of traffic you use and not by the IP. They suit light, bursty jobs on sites that block datacenter and ISP ranges. Heavy traffic gets expensive quickly, so estimate your monthly volume first.
If you are unsure, rent one address of the type you think you need, run your real task against it for a day, and look at the success rate. Because rental periods start at a few days, trying a type costs very little.
Start using a any country proxy in minutes
Setup is the same for every country. Create an account, add funds to your balance, choose the country and the proxy type on the order page, and your credentials appear in the dashboard as soon as the order is delivered. Any HTTP client that supports a proxy will work, and the example below shows the gateway form with the country in the username.
- Create a free account and sign in.
- Add funds to your balance. Top-ups start from one US dollar and are paid in cryptocurrency.
- Open the order page, pick a country, the proxy type and a rental period, and place the order.
- Copy the host, port, username and password from the dashboard and add them to your tool or script.
- Run the proxy tester to confirm the exit IP and country before your real job starts.
curl --proxy http://username-country-us:[email protected]:8000 https://example.comUsing proxies responsibly in any country
A proxy is a networking tool and it is lawful in most places, but what you do with it still has to be lawful and fair. Follow the laws that apply to you and to the place you send traffic to, read the terms of the sites you visit, honour robots rules and rate limits, and never use an address to access accounts or data that are not yours. ProxyOnly cannot give legal advice, and our acceptable use policy applies to every order.
In practice that means reading public pages, checking your own sites and ads, and testing your own products. If a task would be unwelcome to the site owner when done by hand, it is unwelcome when done through a proxy too.
Frequently asked questions
Why compare providers?
Proxy providers differ in billing, proxy types, locations and support. A short comparison helps you match a provider to your workload instead of choosing on price alone.
Are the comparisons biased?
We are a provider, so we say where we fit and where we do not. We do not publish other providers' prices, because they change, and we do not claim to be cheaper without evidence.
Does ProxyOnly sell residential proxies?
Yes, in a limited set of packages billed by traffic. Datacenter, ISP and mobile proxies are rented by country and rental period. The catalog shows what is in stock.
