Proxy alternatives

NetNut alternative

Looking for a NetNut alternative? NetNut is a proxy provider that sells several proxy types. ProxyOnly is a smaller service that rents proxies by country and by period, with the price shown before you pay. This page compares how the two approaches differ, who each one fits and how to test a switch without risk.

We do not claim to be cheaper, bigger or faster than NetNut, and we do not publish NetNut's prices because they change. Instead we show our own live numbers and give you a checklist to compare any two providers with your real workload. NetNut is a trademark of its owner and is not affiliated with ProxyOnly.

ProxyOnly at a glance

These are the facts about ProxyOnly that you can check today. We list 63 countries with live stock for IP-based proxies and 8 proxy types: Datacenter Proxy IPv4, Datacenter Proxy IPv4 Shared, Datacenter Proxy IPv6, Datacenter Proxy Mix, ISP Proxy, ISP Proxy Mix, Mobile Proxy and Residential Proxy. The lowest price in the catalog is US$0.08 per IP (Datacenter Proxy IPv6). You top up a balance from one US dollar in cryptocurrency, choose a country, a proxy type and a rental period, and pay for each order from the balance. Credentials are delivered to a dashboard, and an API is available for creating proxies.

We sell by country. Datacenter, ISP and mobile proxies are rented by IP and period, and residential proxies are billed by traffic. We do not claim to match a specialist's pool size for any single type, so if your project depends on a very large rotating pool, test before you commit. The next sections say when NetNut or another provider may fit better.

NetNut and ProxyOnly side by side

The comparison is by model, not by marketing. The ProxyOnly column is exact. The NetNut column states what is typical for that kind of provider, because we cannot keep another company's plans up to date. Check NetNut's own pricing page for current numbers.

When ProxyOnly may suit you better than NetNut

These points describe who tends to be happy with ProxyOnly. If none of them sounds like you, NetNut or another provider is probably the better choice.

  • You know which countries and rental periods you need and want to see the exact per-IP price for each.
  • You want a short, honest explanation of what each proxy type is and where it fits.
  • You prefer a small balance and per-order payment over a monthly subscription.

When NetNut may be the better choice

A fair comparison also says where we are not the right answer. NetNut may suit you better when:

  • You want residential, mobile and datacenter proxies from a single provider with a rotating pool.
  • You need features that depend on the other provider's platform, such as a particular dashboard, API or integration.
  • You are happy with your current success rates and prices.

How to compare any two proxy providers

Price lists are easy to compare and tell you the least. These questions give a better picture, and you can answer all of them with a small trial.

Cost per successful request. Price per IP or per gigabyte only matters in relation to how many of your requests succeed. Run the same 500 requests through each provider and divide the cost by the number of successful ones.

Block rate on your own targets. A provider that works well on one site can fail on another. Test the sites you actually care about, not a generic benchmark.

Location accuracy. Check the exit country with two lookup tools and compare it with what you ordered. A wrong country is a bigger problem than a slow connection.

Billing model fit. Per-gigabyte billing suits light, bursty traffic. Per-IP billing suits steady, heavy traffic. Estimate your monthly traffic before you decide.

Rental flexibility. Short rental periods reduce the cost of a wrong choice. Check the shortest period, whether you can add IPs later and what happens at renewal.

Support and documentation. Send a real question to support before you buy and see how long the answer takes and how useful it is.

Exit and refund terms. Read the refund and cancellation policy. Never prepay a long period for a provider you have not tested.

Trying ProxyOnly alongside NetNut

You do not have to leave NetNut to try ProxyOnly. Keep your current setup, rent one address for a short period, and run the same workload through both. If the numbers are better for your use case, move traffic over gradually.

  1. Create a ProxyOnly account and add a small balance, from US$1.
  2. Rent one address in the country you use most with NetNut, for the shortest period.
  3. Point a copy of your script or tool at the new proxy, using the host, port, username and password from the dashboard.
  4. Run the same set of requests through both providers and record success rate, speed and cost.
  5. If ProxyOnly works for you, rent more addresses and move traffic over a little at a time.

What a proxy for any country is used for

Nobody needs a any country exit for its own sake. They need it to do something: check a page, test a flow, compare a price. These are the most common jobs for any country proxies.

Localization and QA testing. Product teams use a any country exit to test what a customer in any country actually experiences: the interface language, date and currency formats, the phone format, cookie banners, payment options and any features switched on or off by country. Sticky sessions keep one address while a tester writes up a bug.

Market research on public data. Researchers read public pages the way a local visitor would: listings, directories, public review pages and government or company sites that vary by country. Using a any country exit shows the version of the page meant for any country. Collect only what you are allowed to collect, respect robots rules and rate limits, and keep your own notes in your own tools.

App store and content availability. App stores, software downloads and media catalogues differ by country. A any country address lets you check whether an app is listed for any country, which price and currency the store shows, and whether a public download or landing page is available there. It is a read-only check: you still need to follow the terms of the service you are testing.

Brand and reputation monitoring. Brand teams watch how a name appears on public pages in any country: local news sites, regional marketplaces, comparison pages and review sites. A any country exit makes sure the pages you review are the ones local visitors get, in the local language, rather than a version redirected for your own location.

Ad and landing page verification. Ads, offers and landing pages often change by country. With an exit in any country a media buyer can see what a visitor in any country would see: the language (the local language), the price in the local currency, the local promotions and the pages that are blocked or redirected for other countries. That is the quickest way to catch a broken geo-targeting rule before it burns budget.

Start using a any country proxy in minutes

Setup is the same for every country. Create an account, add funds to your balance, choose the country and the proxy type on the order page, and your credentials appear in the dashboard as soon as the order is delivered. Any HTTP client that supports a proxy will work, and the example below shows the gateway form with the country in the username.

  1. Create a free account and sign in.
  2. Add funds to your balance. Top-ups start from one US dollar and are paid in cryptocurrency.
  3. Open the order page, pick a country, the proxy type and a rental period, and place the order.
  4. Copy the host, port, username and password from the dashboard and add them to your tool or script.
  5. Run the proxy tester to confirm the exit IP and country before your real job starts.
curl --proxy http://username-country-us:[email protected]:8000 https://example.com

Using proxies responsibly in any country

A proxy is a networking tool and it is lawful in most places, but what you do with it still has to be lawful and fair. Follow the laws that apply to you and to the place you send traffic to, read the terms of the sites you visit, honour robots rules and rate limits, and never use an address to access accounts or data that are not yours. ProxyOnly cannot give legal advice, and our acceptable use policy applies to every order.

In practice that means reading public pages, checking your own sites and ads, and testing your own products. If a task would be unwelcome to the site owner when done by hand, it is unwelcome when done through a proxy too.
